Female Athlete | Linda

Linda Bennett

Linda Bennett has been a client for a little over 5 months. In that time she has easily became our most frequent client as she comes every day of the week and sometimes multiple times during one day. There are so many great things we could say about this woman like her work ethic, great attitude, amazing energy, but I think what stands out the most is how she makes others feel around her. She is like having another coach on the floor every time she is in here because of her knowledge of training and her willingness to help others. This makes her a very special part of our family. When asked about MU HPI, she said, “HPI has become a second home for John and I. The laughter, humor, and sense of family add to the physical training experiences that make HPI a special place.”

Male Athlete | Kenya

Kenya Dennis

Kenya Dennis has been a client for a little over 4 months. KD, as we know him as, has a very interesting story with our facility. He is a former defensive back for MIZZOU. After he graduated he pursued an NFL career but due to an injury he came back to Columbia to have surgery and rehab. Before he decided to go through with that he actually interned at our facility to gain experience in coaching and knowledge in the field of strength and conditioning. After completing his internship he began to rehab and start training again towards a professional football career. While holding down a normal 40 hours a week job he still is able to train 4 days a week for around 2-3 hours as many times he includes Yoga after his Strength Training. Needless to say he is a very hard working, determined young man. If that doesn’t make KD special enough, the fact that when anyone enters through our doors, he welcomes and greets them because he understands the HPI family mentality. If you were to ask anybody that has had the privilege to meet KD, I would venture they would say, ‘One of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet’ ; ‘Friendly’ ; ‘Genuine’ ; ‘Great guy’. When asked about HPI, he said, “My favorite thing is how professional and knowledgeable the coaching staff is in terms of getting all athletes better. No matter the age or size of the athlete the staff is excellent in optimizing performance in every individual. Also love the constant learning and continuing education the staff does to continue to develop the programs for betterment of the athletes.”
